Entering Sophomore Admission

Candidates who wish to be considered for Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences must complete this form. Deadline for receipt of the MMSS online application is 11:59pm on April 1.

(A downloadable application is available and may be submitted via email or fax if you prefer.)

Applicants must also submit a copy of their Northwestern University transcript with winter quarter grades before the application deadline of 11:59pm on April 1. The transcript does NOT need to be an official copy. Please submit it to mmss@northwestern.edu.

(Instructions for generating an unofficial transcript on CAESAR: Log on to CAESAR and go to "My Academics". Click "Go" and then print from the icon at the top of the page. You should be able to convert it to a pdf by hitting print and choosing "create a pdf" in the printer name drop down menu. You can then attach the document to an email. If you don't have a way to convert to pdf in the drop down menu (depends on your software), then you can just copy and paste the information into an email.)

Applicants must also arrange for one letter of recommendation from a Northwestern University professor to be sent to MMSS by the application deadline of 11:59pm on April 1. Recommendation letters should be sent directly from the professor by e-mail to mmss@northwestern.edu.
